Enclosed in a circle

I discovered a new ideal bench today at the park. It's a small bench enclosed in a circle made of big flower pots. In the middle of the circle there is a round big flower pot full of wild flowers. Red poppies, yellow daisies and some other white and pink flowers I can't put a name on.

My mood is not ideal today. And the weather is cloudy, overcast. Far away I see the zoo and I can hear the birds of the park, the usual crows and magpies uniting their voices to the more exotic ones of the zoo birds.

Enclosed in a circle of flowers and pots, I feel trapped into the vicious circle of thoughts.

The occupied bench

On the first day of June it was warm and sunny here. I thought I should take my book and go read it on the nearest bench. All the ideal benches were occupied today, it seems that I wasn't the only one who wanted to enjoy the sun after such a taxing winter. Happy to see so many people welcoming their freedom, I went for a walk and didn't bear them a grudge for not leaving a bench free for me.

The ideal bench: what a reader wrote about it

A reader contacted me directly at three stages with impressions about The ideal bench

"I started reading the book yesterday. I didn't get very far on purpose because every sentence was a lovely picture or thought. So beautifully written!

Τhe book makes me peaceful. I haven't finished it yet as I like to read one or two chapters every day.

Now that I have finished it, I always keep it on the nightstand and I open it at a random page and read a few chapters before going to sleep".

Thank you dear reader for your kind words.
